New Tag Scanned Keeps Popping Up

   Since the last update am at present getting a 'new tag detected' prompt when the NFC service detects an unknown tag nearby.

   I suspect it's detecting something in my wallet i am using.

   I do not desire to turn off the nfc characteristic as I utilise information technology for pay and calculation new devices ect.

   I am only looking for useful communication on how to plough this specific function of the NFC feature off, please only respond with actual fixes, I am non looking for things to try if they haven't been proven to work.

   I am using Samesung Galexy S8, Running latest supported firmware.

   Cheers for helping, just a question though. Are you seeing this upshot of 'new tag detected' when your phone detects a card with a chip in it?

   That is exactly what happened with me. But it was my CAC identification card setting it off. I removed all of my cards out of my wallet cover for my annotation 8, and it stopped. I put my chipped bank carte du jour backside it... nothing. Then I put my ID card behind my phone, and that stupid notification popped up... guess I needto invest in a improve cover or wallet. Promise this helps.

   Y'all need an RFID wallet to block the signals from your cards.

6. You can also buy individual RFID card sleeves. If the carte plus one of those will still fit in the slot it might salvage you lot having to notice a dissimilar wallet case.

   I just turned off my NFC for at present. It keeps those messages from popping up, and I can notwithstanding use my Samsung pay. I will exist getting on Amazon to notice a new bill of fare sleeve though. Thank you!

   Yea I will take to get 1 of those RFID blockers! It's a existent shame that Samsung take introduced this consequence in the latest update 'as a feature' with no way to catalogue the tag and then preclude it from popping up once again

   My guess that there may not exist plenty people with this consequence for Samsung to set, although this seems to exist a feature they are trying to add into firmware updates. . . It may but be a waiting game to see what they exercise to fix this in the next update :/

   AFAIK there's absolutely no reason for a telephone to get notifying yous about whatever arbitrary NFC things that it happens to pickup. Considering ordinarily you browse an NFC for a specific reason, like mobile payment, or checking balance on a subway or double-decker card, or pairing a Bluetooth device.
